Internal and external fiber channel cables and adapters provides storage attachement using the older SCSI protocol for Hard disks, Tape drives and other storage devices. This serial SCSI application allows easier cabling. higher performance (up to 1.0625 Gbits/sec), longer distances and higher device count without the use of terminators when compared to parallel SCSI interface. Therefore the ability to convert Fiber Optic signaling. Internal and external fiber channel cables and adapters will soon become part of the storage architecture of the future.
